Prince Harry says 400 pages cut from book ‘Spare’ because William, Charles would never forgive him

Prince Harry said this week that the original draft of his memoir “Spare” was 800 pages long and included sensitive details about interactions mainly with his brother Prince William and his father King Charles III, which he later cut.
“There are some things that have happened, especially between me and my brother, and to some extent between me and my father, that I just don’t want the world to know about. Because I don’t think they would ever forgive me,” Harry said in an interview with The Telegraph.
“Spare”, which was published on Tuesday, included some explosive claims about the royal family, most notably that William once physically assaulted her during a heated argument between the brothers at Nottingham Cottage.

“The first draft was different. It was 800 pages, and now it’s down to 400 pages. It could have been two books, so to speak. And the hard part was getting things out,” he said, explaining that there were dozens. of phone calls to his ghostwriter about editorial cuts.
Harry insisted his book is not about trying to “bring down the monarchy – it’s about saving them from themselves”, adding that he knows he will “be crossed by a lot of people who say that”.

The Duke of Sussex said he also felt worried about his nephews and niece, Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte, because they would face the same heir/backup dynamic that he and his older brother were forced into. to count.
“I know that of those three kids, at least one will end up like me, the backup,” he said. “And it hurts me, it worries me,” Harry said, despite the fact that William “has made it very clear to me that his children are not my responsibility.”
The royals also claimed the British press has “a ton of dirt on my family, I know they do, and they sweep it under the rug for juicy stories about somebody else.”
