Sarah Jessica Parker teases John Corbett’s return to ‘And Just Like That’

This is bigger than Big.
Sarah Jessica Parker has teased the long-awaited return of John Corbett in And Just Like That.
The show follows Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes, and Charlotte York-Goldenblatt as they navigate their lives in NYC in their 50s, without Samantha Jones and Mr. Big, who died in the show’s first episode.
In a joint Instagram post with the reboot’s official account, SJP — who plays hopeless romantic Carrie in the “Sex and the City” spinoff — can be seen hitting the streets of NYC with her former on-screen love, Corbett – played by Aidan. Shaw.
“Shh. Don’t tell anyone,” reads the caption.
The pair are visibly holding hands, hinting at a possible rekindled romance between their characters.
Carrie and Aidan share an extensive history on the original show, which was later revisited in the second Sex and the City movie, released in 2010.
Last year, Entertainment Tonight reported that SJP finally confirmed that Corbett would be returning to reboot for its second season.
The confirmation caused fans to breathe a sigh of relief after Corbett lied about appearing in the spinoff’s first season in an April 2021 interview with Page Six.

“I’m going to do the show,” he told us at the time, claiming he was “very excited” and would be in “quite a few” episodes.
It soon emerged that Corbett’s character did not actually appear in the reboot, leaving many fans disappointed and angered by the random comment.
The HBO Max series stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis — and the much-maligned absence of original series star Kim Cattrall.
Showrunner Michael Patrick King revealed to Variety that the season 2 storyline will feature the long-lost PR guru.

King – who previously said the door isn’t open for Cattrall to return – was asked last year if fans could expect to see Samantha return next season, to which he replied: “Yes.”
While he chose not to divulge further, he added that his goal “is to bring all the characters together in the mix so they’re not so much on separate tracks.”
“And Just Like That” also added some big new names to the “SATC” world, including Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker and Karen Pittman.
Season 1 ended with Miranda leaving NYC and moving to LA for Che Diaz. Meanwhile, Carrie shares a kiss with her handsome colleague Franklyn (Ivan Hernandez).
In March, HBO Max announced that the reboot had been renewed for a second season.
