It opened in Paris Hotel and Casino only twelve weeks ago, but rock music Bat From Hell will be closed January 1.
He was a composer, producer and recording artist Jim Steinman who wrote the songs and produced the 1977 hit album Bat From Hell. Meatloaf was the extraordinary, dramatic singer who turned those songs into records. According to Wikipedia, that album has sold more than 43 million copies, making it one of the best-selling albums of all time.
Stage musical Bat From Hell loosely based on the retelling of Peter Pan, set in the post-apocalyptic Manhattan. Of course, it contains songs from the hit album, and premieres on it Manchester Opera House IN Manchester, England in 2017.
According to an article written by Corey Levitan IN casino.org, he quotes Las Vegas Review-Journal reporting that the cast learned of the show’s cancellation through a recent email sent Thursday, December 22. Merry Christmas, right?
The show’s co-producers sent the email and went on to explain, “We have been trying to find a way forward, but the financial reality has left us with no choice.”
for of Levitan article, those who believe in “The Curse of the Paris Theater” are not surprised by this news of the cancellation of the show. “Starting in 1999, with the original musical Gunzhak of Notre Dame, the theater has staged a series of performances that struggled to fill its 1,400 seats. They included We Will Rock You, Jersey Boys, Circus 1903, Inferno, Marilyn – The New Musical, AND I love the ’90s.”
Even sadder than the news Bat From Hell closing, is the fact that none of the stars of the album and the musical lived long enough to see it open in Las Vegas. Jim Steinman passed away April 21, 2021 at the age of 73 and Meatloaf died on June 20 of this year at the age of 74.
Rest in peace Jim Steinman, Meatloaf, AND Bat Out of Hell: The Musical IN Paris Las Vegas. However, for Wikipedia, the show is expected to return West End of London IN Peacock Theatre IN 2023.
