65, of Schuylkill Haven passed away Tuesday, December 27, at his residence, with his loving wife Sylvia by his side.

He was born in Pottsville, January 8, 1957, a son of the late Marie (Tobias) and Gilbert Beury.

Gilbert and his wife Sylvia A. (Saurazas) Beury were married on May 8, 2004.

In addition to his wife, Gilbert is survived by his stepson Cory Laguna, husband of Nicole and their daughter Alyea Laguna. He is also survived by siblings Richard Beury; Linda Montone, Jerry’s wife; Susan Vidal, Kay Ann Jobrey; Jodi Palsgrove and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings Joanne Horning and David Pickard.

Gilbert worked as a Supervisor for M & Q Packaging and was also employed by Gilford Chemical. Gilbert was well known in the area. He enjoyed shooting pool and belonged to the North Ward Social Club and was a past member of the former Tremont Clubsters.

Private services were entrusted to Hamilton – Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg.

Briana C. Kromer, PFC currently serving in the United States Army stationed at Ft. Sill Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 25, 2022, while at home for the holidays visiting family in Andreas, Pennsylvania. She was 21 years old.

Born Friday, January 26, 2001 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of David and Michelle (Jennings) Kromer of Andrea. Briana is also survived by; brother Christopher Green Jr., and his wife Kera of Tamaqua, their children, Miley, Sophia, Aubrey, Christopher III, Brody and Sutton; fiancé, Joshua Davis; maternal grandparents, Ronald and Jeanette Jennings of Lehighton; god parents, Timothy and Kim Gerhard.

Briana was prevented by; paternal grandparents, Lynford Kromer and Violet Kemery

A 2019 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, Briana attended Lehigh County Community College before enlisting in the United States Army. Briana enjoyed being outside, kayaking, hiking, or reading in her hammock. Briana enjoyed the company of her cats Buddy and Athena.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday evening, January 3, 2023 at 8:00 PM from the funeral home. Friends may call from 5:00 PM until the time of service.

Burial with military honors accorded will be in Ft. Indiantown Gap Annville National Cemetery on Wednesday January 4, 2022 at 9:30 am.

Grace I. Schrope95, of Hegins, formerly of Tower City, passed away Monday, December 26, 2022, at St. John’s Hospital. Luke, Orwigsburg.

Born in Hegins, Nov. 28, 1927, a daughter of the late Irvin and Bertha Otto Stutzman. She was a 1946 graduate of Hegins Township High School.

Grace was a lifelong beautician, starting her business at age 17 and retiring just a few years ago.

She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Tower City, where she previously served on the Scholarship Committee and as treasurer of the Women’s Fellowship. She was currently attending Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins.

Grace could often be found playing cards; she belonged to numerous card clubs. She was a talented quilter and cook. Grace spent many years camping at Hemlock Acres Campground, Center County. She will be remembered for her famous Nanna scarf. Her family was everything to her.

In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Schrope; three siblings, Mary Shoop, Dorothy Shade and Richard Stutzman; a son-in-law, Tony Smyk.

Surviving are her daughter, Lorna Smyk, Hegins; two sons, Robert Schrope, Herndon, and Barry Schrope and his wife Candi, Duncannon; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from Dimon Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. at the chapel. She will be laid to rest privately at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Thomas Joseph Sidleck79, of Lusby, MD died Sunday, December 25, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Schuylkill East.

Born November 23, 1943, in Wilmington, DE, he was the son of the late Stanley and Anna (Horwhat) Sidleck. A 1962 graduate of Nativity BVM High School, Tom served 4 years in the US Navy before being employed by Potomac Electric Power Company (Pepco) as Senior Roving Maintenance Foreman, from which he retired after 34 years. Tom loved life. He loved nothing more than traveling the country with his wife and family. Tom was an avid sailor and fisherman and was a member of the Solomons Island Yacht Club where he served as Past Commodore.

Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Marie (Hudock) Sidleck, a son Thomas Jr. (Michelle), Baltimore, MD; and daughters Kelly (Mike) Granata, Sykesville, MD and Lori (Adam) Carson, Ocean City, MD; a brother Edward (Barbara) Sidleck, Lehighton; and his grandchildren Molly, Thomas III, Riley, Tyler, Jake and Lily; nephews and nieces.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life Service to be held at the Solomons Island Yacht Club.

Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville was entrusted with arrangements.

Richard M. Richart85, of Frackville passed away Monday, December 26, 2022, at his residence with his wife Roberta by his side.

Born in Dushore, March 1, 1937, he was the son of the late Francis and Mary Waldron Richart. He was a graduate of the former Saint Vasil Catholic High School, class of 1956.

After graduation he was offered scholarships to the University of Pittsburgh and Mansfield University for his athletic ability. He chose to enlist in the US Navy after serving from 1956 to 1963.

Richard was a member of St. Joseph’s Workmen Parish, Frackville and American Legion Post #398, Frackville.

He retired from Mack Truck, Allentown, as an assembly worker. He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. He was like working on his house and doing yard work.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Richard Richart, Jr., in 1995; a brother Francis Richart and a sister; Marcella Hamilton.

Richard is survived by his wife of 59 years, Roberta (Bobbi) T. Bowman Richart, Frackville; a nephew, cousins ​​and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Frackville with the Rev. Giuseppe C Esposito, pastor, as celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday morning at the Church. Burial with military honors will be in Annunciation Cemetery, Englewood, Frackville.

Vincent Dunsavage89, of Barnesville, passed away Monday, December 26, 2022, at his residence.

Born in Barnesville, April 1, 1933, he was a son of the late Anthony and Mary Colvenus Dunsavage. He attended the former Mahanoy Township High School.

Vincent and his wife Helen owned the former Bar Dunsavage, Barnesville; he retired from Bethlehem Steel and worked as a coal miner for several local industries; he previously worked at Seddon Dairy Farms, Ryan Township.

He was a member of St. John’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Maizeville; He was a life member of Ryan Township Fire Company, Mahanoy City Social Club and Locust Valley Fish and Game; he was also a member of the Moss Glen Rod and Gun Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers; Thomas, Raymond and Joseph Duncavage; the sisters; Irene Dunsavage, Mary Dunsavage; Theresa Heckman and Florence Kozel.

Vincent is survived by his wife of 51 years, Helen Homka Dunsavage, Barnesville; two brothers; Anthony Dunsavage, Lebanon, TN and Peter Dunsavage, Texas; a daughter Tina and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Maizeville, with Petro Zvarych, pastor, as the honorary celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to visit the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, Frackville, Thursday evening from 6-8 PM with Parastas at 7 PM; and again from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Friday morning. Burial will be in St. John’s Ukrainian Cemetery, Englewood/Frackville.
