The VEL Institute congratulates our Executive Director for the recent recognition from the “30 under 30” Business Elite Awards Gala. The Gala and Awards Ceremony to honor the 2023 Business Elite Under 30 winners took place on February 28, 2023 at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. The evening was a celebration of the achievements of the most promising young entrepreneurs and leaders who are making an impact in the business world before they turn 30.

Greene enlisted in the United States Navy in 2012, where he served two tours of duty for the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) as a Counterterrorism Specialist. He continued his career as a civilian contractor, working as a weapons-based instructor for private security operatives. In 2020, Greene founded SwoleConnect, a personal development firm and athletic brand. Customers recognize his philosophies METRECON and Potent Masculinity as pillars of their personal well-being. His work has since been featured on NBC, CBS, FOX and USA Today.

Two years later his company acquired Total Warrior Combat, America’s premiere Mixed Martial Arts promotion. As Executive Director of VEL, Greene continues to work on creating impactful relationships by providing free, collaborative learning environments that support the growth and development of entrepreneurs, veterans, and community leaders alike.

On being selected for this award, Greene said, “This recognition is not just an individual achievement, but a testament to the potential of all veterans. As a veteran, I have seen firsthand the incredible strength and perseverance of our nation’s heroes. With the right support, training and resources, they can transform their military skills and experiences into powerful tools for success in the civilian world. I look forward to collaborating with our community partners and stakeholders to empower our veterans to continue their service through entrepreneurship and philanthropy.”

VEL is dedicated to the personal and professional development of veterans. From those who are transitioning from military life to civilian life and those who want to move up in their organizations or start their own business.

We provide this personal and professional development through community integration of entrepreneurs and leaders. We have keynotes, lunch and tutorials, and courses that are for veterans, entrepreneurs, and executives alike. We offer opportunities for connection and growth through each of these avenues.
