Split is more fair to attackers in Valorant patch 6.0

It will be out next week.
The new balance update for one of Valorant’s original maps, Split, is ready.
Split received major changes after being removed from competitive and unrated ranks in Act I of Episode 5. The map will make its official return on January 10th in Valorant patch 6.0.
The changes include major and minor adjustments to sections of the map, which will change the way players fight for map control and take up space.
It also removed some advantages defenders had in some areas, giving attackers more options to approach parts of the map. These adjustments will force attackers and defenders to make adjustments accordingly.
To prepare for the new and improved map, here are all the changes you need to know.

The area around Crown Coffee received significant changes. The game’s developers added an elevated walkway that gives attackers a new way to take control of the main A.

The box between ramp A and the entrance to Site A has been shrunk by half, giving attackers a new angle to look at Site A.

The area is now level, with the small stairs facing a place instead of a ramp. Looking into a sky from the A ramps will be more direct for attackers as there will only be one header angle.

Part of the rafters A next to the main A has been removed. This place used to be difficult for attackers to clear as a defender could be on top of the ledge, or below it.
Attackers don’t need to worry about gambling on which spot to clear when entering the A-side. The height of the box below the A rafters has also been increased, making it more difficult for defenders to clear on the rebound.

The wall parallel to the entrance to site B from garage B is fixed. Now it is tilted, making it easier for attackers to clear the B hell since it has a wider angle.

The ledge along the stairs in the middle has been removed. Players will no longer be able to use the ledge to perform a crouch jump boost to climb on top of the metal box.
The height of the platform at the end of the ledge, next to the stairs, has also increased. This will make it easier for attackers to jump in and peek through the mail.
The new split focuses on making the map more balanced for attackers. The combination of A-site and B-site thrusts were always known on the map. Now that attackers have more ways to execute on site, a single site attack can become a viable strategy moving forward.
