The White House has joined in condemning Fox News host Tucker Carlson over his recent coverage of the January 6 riots at the Capitol. Spokesman Andrew Bates called it “unbelievable” and called his “false description of the unprecedented, violent attack on our Constitution and the rule of law.”

Meanwhile, Carlson told a colleague that he “passionately” hated Donald Trump, according to new bombshell text messages released as part of Dominion Voting Systems’ $1.6 billion lawsuit against the network.

New court filings Tuesday revealed a text message Carlson sent to a Fox News employee just two days before the Jan. 6 Capitol riots.

“We’re pretty close to being able to ignore Trump most nights. I really can’t wait”, he wrote. “I hate it with a passion.”

The texts came to light on the same day that Democratic and Republican lawmakers criticized Carlson for sharing edited footage of the Capitol riots on his show while falsely claiming to depict a peaceful rally led by “bystanders.”

Senators Chuck Schumer and Mitch McConnell led the condemnation of the “shameful” cover-up.

1678328113Does Tucker Carlson’s QAnon Shaman video matter?

One of Fox News’ top stars has launched a crusade to change public perception of the facts surrounding the Jan. 6 attack on Congress, and on Monday he used a clip of the much-derided “QAnon Shaman,” Jacob Chansley, to do so.

Tucker Carlson’s latest attempt at spreading misinformation is the result of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s decision to grant him access to surveillance footage from the day of the attack, while denying other reporters (even on the his) same approach. ; as a result, Carlson’s producers have been able to present selective clips of the attack and cut them together in hopes of making Americans forget the shocking scenes of violence already released by the committee on January 6 of last year .

1678325908Carlson focuses on ‘interesting’ Trump

Despite Dominion court documents revealing he “hates” the former president “with a passion,” Tucker Carlson reminded his viewers Wednesday that Mr. Trump was running for the White House again “unless they put him in jail, which of course that’s the plan.”

And he added: He’s saying things that are really interesting, not repetitive at all. In fact, he’s come up with a number of proposals that are so interesting that we thought we’d bring them to you,” he said on his Fox News show.

During a broadcast Wednesday, Tucker Carlson blasted his bipartisan critics in Congress as “sociopaths” and accused Attorney General Merrick Garland of lying about the number of police officers killed in the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

It’s the latest eye-opening moment after the Fox News anchor sparked controversy all week by airing selectively chosen clips to pretend the 2021 Capitol riots were non-violent.

“The sociopaths turned out to be both Democrats and Republicans,” Carlson said, calling GOP leaders like Sens. Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham “weak men” for their criticism of the Jan. 6 video segments.

1678324513Although court filings reveal him scoffing at conspiracy theories, Carlson revived false claims of election fraud

Days after court filings revealed Fox News personalities and executives privately rejected false claims about the 2020 presidential election, one of the network’s most-watched stars spoke out about its legitimacy and appeared to defend the hundreds of protesters who stormed the halls of Congress.

In a segment on March 6 seeking to play down the attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, Tucker Carlson said protesters were “right” to believe the election was “unfairly conducted.”

1678321977 Fox’s latest statement on the Dominion lawsuit

“Dominion and its private equity owners join a long line of public figures and corporations across the country that have long tried to silence the press, and this lawsuit by Dominion-owned Staple Street Capital is nothing more than a another blatant attack on the First Amendment. FOX News will continue to vigorously defend a free press as a ruling in Dominion’s favor would have dire consequences for journalism across this country,” Fox told The Independent in a statement Wednesday.
