McDonald’s Customer Gets Chick-fil-A Mac and Cheese with Order

When you’re shopping for fast food from a well-known franchise, it would be pretty annoying to see a menu item from another chain in your bag.
While this kind of cross-food episode is less likely at a combination of Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, one TikToker is going viral for claiming that their McDonald’s order came with some Chick-Fil-A macaroni and cheese.
User Joceye (@Jocelyneespino_) writes in a caption overlay of the clip, “We went to McDonald’s and they put out a mac n cheese from a confused fil chick [as fuck].”
In the video, a woman pulls out a tub of what appears to be Chick-fil-A macaroni and cheese from a McDonald’s lunch bag.
“Um, why is there a mac and cheese in our, in our … what?” she says to the worker who is holding a plastic case out of the window. It includes other items as the employee instructs customers to “take them all.”

It is not unusual for a corporation to own several business entities. KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and Habit Burger Grill are all owned by YUM! Brand. However, McDonald’s is owned and operated by McDonald’s and Chick-fil-A is its business that is run by the Truett family.
The Daily Dot reached out to Joceye via TikTok comment, and McDonald’s and Chick-fil-A via email for further information.
TikTokers who saw Joceye’s post speculated why Chick-fil-A mac and cheese was in the bag. Some accused her of setting it up herself and of trying to prank her viewers. Others said she was simply “asking too many questions”.
Some viewers thought this was a case of an employee taking a colleague’s lunch and putting it inside the bag either as a prank of their own or to get back with someone for a light job.
Some TikTokers cared less about the Chick-fil-A mac and cheese and more about the fact that the drive-thru appeared to be giving customers the entire bucket of sauce.
“Dude either bouta left or had a bad day,” wrote user @uncertifiedpharmacist. “Did he actually give you the sauce basket?” .
Another possibility worth considering is that the item was part of a “food exchange” between fast food workers at neighboring restaurants. Eight-time Mr. Olympia winner and retired bodybuilder Ronnie Coleman told in his documentary how, while working at Dominos Pizza, he and his co-workers got tired of eating pizza every day and would barter with other fast food workers -food that they were. tired of eating the same thing in their jobs too.
