“Very Disappointing”: Jay Cutler Expresses Concerns About Arnold Classic 2023

2023 has a lot on the line for bodybuilding fans. With the results of Mr. Olympia 2022 in mind, fans are now looking forward to the Arnold Classic. However, unlike the others, 4X Mr. Olympia winner Jay Cutler is not impressed. Sitting down for a podcast episode with Milos Sarcev, the retired bodybuilder was explosive with his lofty yet unique opinions.
Telling it unfiltered, Cutler expressed what surprised him about the small lineup for Arnold Classic 2023. With just seven weeks to go until the competition, the bodybuilding legend had plenty to say.

Jay Cutler shares his candid thoughts on the 2023 Arnold Classic lineup
The dates for the 2023 Arnold Classic are fast approaching. While fans around the world are excited, Jay Cutler and fitness trainer Milos Sarcev seem disappointed with the lineup. Unimpressed with this year’s entry list, Cutler along with Sarcev indulged in a deep discussion.
As the tentative lineups of each division have now been revealed, Jay Cutler shared his thoughts on the Open division lineup along with Milos Sarcev. Speaking about it, Cutler said: “Very disappointing […] By the way, thought I’d jump in […] We have six people registered now.”

Set to begin March 2 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, Ohio Expo Center; the competition is very demanding. Nodding in agreement with Cutler, Milos said, “Very disappointing, almost unimaginable to me. The question is how is it possible that only six people are interested in entering the second biggest race in the world.” Milos also questions how bodybuilders are losing out to the competition.
Cutler’s take on Arnold Classics
It’s been years since Jay graced professional bodybuilding. Although the Arnold Classics were never on his mind, Cutler has no regrets about entering the competition. Instead, Cutler was grateful to be able to attract the unprecedented fan base he received after participating in the Arnold Classics over the years. After the Arnold Classic, Cutler eventually went on to capture the Mr. Olympia title after defeating 8-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman. In other words, the Arnold Classic served as the stepping stone of his career.

Since the days of his participation, many things have changed. For those uninitiated, the prize money for this year’s competition has been collected. The stage will also see a new set of participants. Brandon Curry, the winner of the 2022 Arnold Classic, had already announced that he would not be returning to the stage.
