Prince Harry’s book ‘might be the final nail in the coffin’ as the palace braces itself for impact: experts

The British royal family is gearing up for an impact as its “reserve” prepares to release another series of news.
Prince Harry is speaking out again in two upcoming TV interviews to coincide with the release of his memoir, Spare, which hits bookshelves on January 10. Both the UK’s ITV and CBS News’ 60 Minutes have shared parts of their sit-downs with the Duke of Sussex, both of which air on Sunday. In them, the 38-year-old continues to express his complaints against the monarchy.
The father of two and his wife, Meghan Markle, announced in 2020 that they were stepping down as senior members of the British royal family. In 2021, they talked about their decision to leave with Oprah Winfrey in an interview that was watched by nearly 50 million people worldwide.

Last month, Netflix released “Harry & Meghan,” a six-part series that also detailed the couple’s experiences that led to their decision to make a fresh start in the US. The couple previously shared on their Archewell Productions website that their goal was to “produce programming that informs, uplifts and inspires.”
PRINCE HARRY DECLARES HE’S GOING TO ‘STICK’ HIS FATHER AND BROTHER, HINTS PLANTING STORYLINES IN FUTURE INTERVIEWS
Kinsey Schofield, a royal expert and host of the “To Di For Daily” podcast, told Fox News Digital that there’s a good reason why Buckingham Palace hasn’t released a statement to defend itself.
“The royal family are bracing themselves for negative headlines, but they’ve survived much worse,” she explained. “They are convinced that this is only temporary and their team gets the feeling that people are very much on top of this story. If the royal family responds, then it keeps the Harry and Meghan drama going… If they stay quiet and Harry and Meghan keep beating the same drum, people will get more and more tired of this very shallow story.”

“Harry and Meghan are a concern for the royal family, but they are not a dominant focus,” she said. “The more distance the family puts between the Sussexes and them, Harry and Meghan’s royal brand starts to fail. Then we’re left with just the reality stars.”
In the Netflix documentary, Harry was scathing about the way the royal press team worked and talked about how his relationship with his older brother Prince William, as well as the rest of the royal family, had broken down. Markle described wanting to end her life as she struggled to cope with toxic UK press coverage.

Markle, 41, a former American actress who starred in the legal drama Suits, became the Duchess of Sussex when she married the British prince in 2018. The couple now resides in Montecito, California with their son Archie, 3, and daughter Lilibet , 1.

Royal commentator Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital that Buckingham Palace is unlikely to be involved in Harry’s latest press tour by offering a statement. Instead, she suspects the royal family will continue to keep calm and carry on.
“As Harry well knows, the Royal Family don’t talk freely about their feelings, and neither does he,” Fordwich said. “The operative word here is ‘freely’. Literally and figuratively, Harry has sold his soul as he has been paid by Netflix to keep his soul. Since the royal family will not speak freely and have not sold their soul, from many we can tell they are ‘completely exhausted’. and ‘tired’ of Harry’s misinformation. Historically and culturally the British tend to let actions speak louder than words. King Charles inviting them to the coronation shows that they are ‘keeping calm and carrying on’. This infamous motto was a way of life for the British during The Blitz because… it is what is expected of the Royal Family by the British public and the Commonwealth in general.”

“Another way we can witness their feelings through their actions is to see what [the royals did] during the Christmas season,” noted Fordwich. “They continued to serve the British public through [Kate Middleton’s] carol service, their many walks and events supporting a variety of charities. Everything was focused on others in need, not on myself. This speaks volumes about their feelings. It really is business as usual – the business of serving the public as kings do.”
PRINCE HARRY SHOULD BE DROPPED AS ROYAL TITLE AFTER NETFLIX SERIES, SAYS ALMOST HALF OF BRITISH PUBLIC
Royal commentator Neil Sean said Harry’s latest interviews are “just a terrible drivel that we’re all tired of now”.
“[His publishers] they have to wonder what on earth they risked all that money for,” he said.[The Sussexes] gave the best stuff talking to Oprah, so the royal family will have nothing to worry about here.”

In clips released by ITV on Monday, Harry admitted he wants his father and brother back. The Duke of Sussex was also shown saying that “they feel like it’s better to keep us somewhat of a villain” and that “they’ve shown absolutely no willingness to compromise” – although it was not clear who he was referring to.
The prince added that he wanted “a family, not an institution”.
PRINCE HARRY VOWED TO SUPPORT PRINCE WILLIAM AHEAD OF THEIR ALBANIA, AUTHOR SUBMITS: ‘THEY WERE UNSEEN’
Best-selling author Christopher Andersen, who recently wrote a book about King Charles III, told Fox News Digital that Harry will continue to speak out against the palace in the hope that he will finally be heard. This, he said, should worry the palace.

“There is no doubt that in [his memoir] “However, Harry will once again target the palace in general, and subsequently the king and Prince William,” Andersen said. “Harry and Meghan find themselves waging a public relations battle with the palace, and the memories of Harry is a major offensive weapon in that war. Whether it blows up like Oprah’s interview or shines like their Netflix documentary, we’ll have to wait and see.”
“By hitting the waves with his interviews on ITV and 60 Minutes, Harry is making it clear that he will do whatever it takes for his book to make an impact,” Andersen noted. “So far it doesn’t look like Harry is pulling any punches. If I were king less than five months from his coronation, I’d be worried… Publicly, King Charles has done a remarkable job of keeping a stiff upper lip. . [But] I’m sure he’s already started shaking.”
“This is not easy for the royal family,” he continued. “The continued sniping from Montecito is much more than just a concern. At a time when the monarchy is most vulnerable, every blow from Harry and Meghan takes its toll, eroding the very foundations of the institution. Charles, more than anyone , worries that by the time the crown is placed on his head, it will be struck and broken beyond repair.”

Since leaving the UK, Harry has spoken about his estrangement from his father, 74, and older brother, who is heir to the throne. True Royalty TV co-founder Nick Bullen previously told Fox News Digital that the relationship between William, 40, and Harry is at an “all-time low”. Andersen suspected it would only continue to get worse as William “famously holds a grudge”.

“The royal family is holding its collective breath … and with good reason,” Andersen explained. “It seems that Harry and Meghan are willing to portray themselves as the unfortunate victims of a heartless, soul-crushing system that was designed to deny them even the slightest chance of happiness in the first place… You can imagine how Charles and William feel In the wake of the Queen’s death, they are now fighting to keep the thousand-year-old British monarchy afloat – one of the world’s oldest and most revered institutions. From their perspective, it looks like everyone Harry and Meghan are trying to Since they packed their bags and left, Harry and Meghan have been throwing grenades one after the other over the palace walls.”
Multiple sources have told Andersen that Harry is hoping for an apology from the palace. However, it is likely that he will wait a long time. Andersen wondered if it was time for the king to consider whether the Duke and Duchess of Sussex should keep their royal titles after all.

“William’s silence speaks volumes,” Andersen said. “Both the King and the Prince of Wales have epic temperaments and I shudder to think what is now going on behind closed doors… It’s impossible to imagine that Harry’s book will not just be a nail in the coffin of his relationship with others. of the royal family. It could be the final nail in the coffin. If Harry really wants his father and brother back in his life, he has a very special way of showing it.”

“Harry has made it clear that he and Meghan offered to give up their titles – an offer he said was leaked to the press by the palace,” Andersen said. “I never would have thought it possible, but it’s starting to look like the king might take him up on that offer.”
